Sales and Distribution
The sales structure consists of export and domestic wholesale deliveries of crude, gas and petroleum products, as well as retail sales of finished petroleum products, liquefied petroleum gas and a series of related products.
The average annual sales volume amounts to around 2.5 million tons, which covers 50% of the wholesale market, 34% of the retail sale market and around 68% of the total market of petroleum products in Serbia.
NIS owns the largest network of petrol stations in Serbia - 332 petrol stations, 6 loading terminals, 6 LPG bottle shops, and the network of depots across Serbia. NIS retail network includes the regional sales centres in major cities in the country – Belgrade, Novi Sad, Čačak, Niš, Zrenjanin, Kragujevac.
All types of motor fuel are strictly and regularly controlled in laboratories, and are compliant with the Regulation on Technical and Other Requirements for Liquefied Fuel of Oil Origin, while Euro Premium BMB95 and Euro Diesel comply with the European quality standards.
With existing capacities, NIS increases the production volume of environmentally clean fuel, and the modernisation of refinery facilities expected to be completed in 2012 will enable a complete shift to new types of fuel and full refining capacity.
Three separate organizational units of the Block „Sales and Distribution“ deal with the sales of specific petroleum products:
- Division of Oils and lubricants: production and sales of a wide portfolio of oils, lubricants and accompanying liquidsi
- Sales of Aviation fuel Department: supply of airplanes with jet fuel and jet gasoline in the countries of the region
- Bunkering Division: supply of ships with diesel and Euro diesel at special vessel stations (bunker stations).
NIS exports heavy fuel oil, propylene, benzene, toluol, bitumen, jet kerosene, primary gasoline, diesel D-2, gasoline BMB-95 and Euro-diesel. Hungary, Romania, Croatia, Bulgaria, Montenegro, Macedonia and Ukraine are the biggest clients.
