Four medals for Serbian team at International Chemistry Olympiad, with NIS support

Young chemistry students from Serbia won four medals at the International Chemistry Olympiad held in Thailand. This success of the Serbian chemistry Olympians stands as testimony to their excellence and strenuous efforts at an international level, with Professor Dušan Sladić and Professor Niko Radulović - mentors and team leaders - playing a vital part in the success. Damjan Čubraković, a student of the Mathematical Grammar School in Belgrade, was awarded the silver medal, while the three bronze medals went to Andrej Kukuruzar from Veljko Petrović Grammar School in Sombor, Andrej Kovačević from Užice Grammar School and Anamarija Nikoletić from the Mathematical Grammar School in Belgrade. NIS has sponsored knowledge Olympiads through its programme Energy of Knowledge for five years running, with Olympians going on to compete and represent our country in international competitions around the world. In this way, NIS supports talented secondary school and university students and the educational system in Serbia.
