We try to tailor the benefits we offer to the needs of all employees. In this section you can learn about all benefits NIS provides as an employer.

Pay, bonuses, and additional motivation

Base pay

Salaries of our employees are in line with the market trends and can increase through yearly pay raises, as wells as promotions or transfers.

Bonuses

All of our employees receive bonuses, irrelevant of the position type or seniority level. Bonus scheme, type (monthly, quarterly, annual or special bonuses) and amount depend on the position and organizational unit. Bonuses are awarded according to the results of the organizational unit and personal contribution of the employee (fulfilment of quarterly goals for administrative staff or sales targets for petrol station employees).

Additional material and non-material motivation

Physical and mental health

Additional medical check-ups

Every year, all our employees can undergo a full company-organized and company-funded medical examination. In addition, for employees working in higher-risk positions, we organize regular supplementary health check-ups.

Additional group insurance

As support in difficult life situations, we provide employees with insurance policies that cover medical treatment costs in case of a serious health condition or surgery.

Option to apply for private health insurance

Because of the existing medical check-ups and group insurance, we currently do not provide private health insurance. Instead, employees and their family members can apply for it independently at preferential rates.

Additional vacation days

In addition to the legal minimum of 20 days, we offer extra vacation days based on various criteria (duration of employment, level of education, and others), up to the maximum of 30 days per year for regular positions and up to 35 days for high-risk positions.

Preventive recovery in spas

Employees can enjoy a seven-day company-funded vacation in a spa or a mountain resort in Serbia. Priority is given to employees in high-risk positions and employees with disabilities. Discounts are given on bookings at the same resorts to employee family members (spouses and children).

Solidarity aid for medical treatment

Solidarity financial aid is provided to employees whose immediate relatives undergo treatment or rehabilitation.

Free sports and recreational activities

Employees have free access to specific sports and recreational facilities, such as gyms and indoor football and basketball courts. The company has several sports teams and organizes sports events and competitions, both for professional and for recreational athletes.

Restaurants in business centers

Employees of the company’s business centers in Novi Sad, Belgrade, Zrenjanin, and Pančevo have access to on-site restaurants, including line-service and à la carte sections. A restaurant will be soon open at the premises of HIP Petrohemija.

Volunteer Club

Members of our Volunteer Club, which includes nearly 2,000 people, are allowed to take part in volunteer activities of the club during working hours.

Psychological support from professionals

Employees can turn to our licensed psychological support team whenever they need assistance.

Support for families

Maternity leave benefits

As support for new and future mothers, we cover the difference in income up to the full amount of their salary for all colleagues on maternity leave, child-care leave, or special-care child leave.

One-time financial aid for the birth of a child

To support the families of our employees, we provide financial aid for the birth of the first and each subsequent child.

New Year’s gift for employees’ children under 11

Parents whose children are 10 or younger can expect not only a gift from Santa, but also a gift voucher from the company.

Additional vacation days for employees with children under 14

Parents of children under 14 get two more days of paid time off.

Solidarity aid in case of damage or destruction of residential property

In the event of destruction or damage to residential property caused by natural disasters or other extraordinary circumstances, we provide a one-time financial aid and up to five paid days of leave.

Solidarity aid in case of illness of an immediate family member

The company provides financial aid toward treatment costs in case of illness of an employee’s immediate family member.

Solidarity assistance for the family and scholarships for children in case of death of an employee

We want to support the families of our employees even in the most difficult moments. In the event of an employee’s death, we provide financial assistance to their family, as well as regular monthly scholarships for their children throughout primary, secondary and higher education.

Additional financial benefits

System of discounts for goods and services

Our employees get discounts in our partner retail stores and service providers in the area of healthcare, wellness, vehicle registration, hospitality, tourism, education, and entertainment for children.

VIP status in the “Sa nama na putu” loyalty program

All employees enjoy a special status in the “Sa nama na putu” loyalty program, which
provides additional benefits, discounts and cashback when purchasing fuel and other products at our petrol stations.

Anniversary awards for 10, 20, 30 and 40 years of service at NIS

As a sign of appreciation, we provide financial awards to employees celebrating 10, 20, 30 or 40 years with NIS. You are also eligible for this award even if you have not completed the full jubilee year (for example, when retiring) as long as the year has begun.

Voluntary pension insurance

If an employee opens a voluntary pension insurance fund, the company will match their monthly contribution up to 2,500 dinars. If the employee contributes more than 2,500, the company’s contribution will remain capped at 2,500 dinars.

Flexible work arrangements and company transportation

Working from home

Administrative employees whose roles permit may work from home up to two days per month. Those in health risk categories may be granted additional days, while employees in IT and Digital teams may work remotely without limitation, subject to their manager’s approval.

Working from the town of residence

Administrative employees who commute between Belgrade, Novi Sad or Zrenjanin may work in a shared office in the town if their residence two days a month.

Redistribution of working hours

For certain employees, overtime is compensated through am hour redistribution system, meaning all extra hours worked during the month are collected as redistribution hours. These hours can be used as time off or can be paid out as overtime at the end of the six-month redistribution cycle.

Gradual return from long-term sick leave

Employees who have been on sick leave for more than a year may work half-time during the first two weeks after returning to work, while receiving full-time pay.

Company transportation

The company provides organized transportation to all of its key offices, and shuttle transportation between the offices. The company provides cars to employees in locations without organized transport, employees whose job requires travel, and to senior managers.
