Laboratory

As a responsible company, NIS is firmly committed to quality and quality assurance of its products.

Laboratory testing during final quality control, i.e. before the delivery of fuel to end users, is conducted with the aim of ensuring fuel quality during transport from the refinery to the petrol stations and the prevention of fuel degradation in transport.

The laboratories (the Downstream Laboratory Department and the Upstream Laboratory), operating within the NIS – Naftagas d.o.o. Novi Sad Science and Technology Centre, provide quality testing services at every stage of the petroleum production and refining process.

The process of quality control begins with the testing of crude oil quality in the field, in production unit laboratories, followed by the testing of crude oil prepared for refinery processing, testing of the quality of process flows and semi-finished products essential for the monitoring and control of refinery operations, and ends with the quality control of final refinery products and the issuance of Test Reports. The Test Reports verify that the quality of the produced fuel is in compliance with the prescribed quality standards set in the technical requirements, standards, and product specifications.

These procedures guarantee the quality of fuel produced by NIS.

These control procedures guarantee the quality of petroleum products produced by NIS j.s.c. Novi Sad.
The Downstream Laboratory Department is a testing laboratory accredited in accordance with SRPS ISO / IEC 17025 Standard (Certificate 01-372, issued by the Accreditation Body of Serbia), with the capacity and professional expertise to conduct the following types of work:

Physical and chemical testing:
