The NIS Company has requested a new special license from the Office of Foreign Assets Control (OFAC) of the US Department of the Treasury that would make possible the continuation of this company’s operations after March 20, which is the expiry date of the previous license granted on February 20.
This request points out the importance of the company’s unhindered operation for the economy of the Republic of Serbia, particularly in in the aftermath of global events that has made a huge impact on the world oil market. The request makes special mention of the negotiations that have long been under way with a view to change the ownership structure of NIS.
NIS expresses its gratitude to all institutions in the country and abroad for supporting the efforts to enable the company to operate smoothly and thus contribute to the energy stability of the Republic of Serbia.
