NIS has submitted an application to the U.S. Office of Foreign Assets Control (OFAC) for a new special license that would allow the company to continue its operations without interruption after July 16, when the current license issued in April expires.
In its application, the company emphasizes the importance of NIS’s uninterrupted operations for maintaining stable supply to the domestic market, particularly given the current situation in the global oil market. It also notes ongoing negotiations regarding changes to the company’s ownership structure, as the license has already been extended several times in connection with those talks.
NIS expresses gratitude to all Serbian and international institutions that have supported the continuation of its operations, thereby contributing to the energy stability of the Republic of Serbia.
