NIS continues investing in fleet modernization

11.6.2025

NIS has expanded its fleet by acquiring 39 new trucks and 22 tank semi-trailers for transportation of petroleum products. The new vehicles, worth 9.5 million euros, meet the strictest international safety and environmental protection standards.

The acquisition of new equipment will allow the company to reduce operational costs, improve safety and reliability of the transportation process, and expand transport capacity, thereby increasing the volume of petroleum products transported. The new tank trucks are equipped with modern control systems and consist of five compartments, meaning that one tank can carry up to five different product types at the same time. Through this investment, NIS not only modernizes its fleet but also ensures improved safety and efficiency of petroleum product transportation, enhancing overall supply logistics quality.

“These investments represent a major step toward modernizing of our logistics infrastructure. The acquisition of new trucks and semi-trailers not only increases process efficiency and reduces operational costs, but also confirms our commitment to the highest standards of transportation safety and reliability. Modern vehicles will improve the quality of services we provide to our partners and consumers across Serbia, raising the bar for service quality and improving overall logistics. Moreover, by expanding our fleet, we reduce the need to engage contractors,” stated Dejan Mijalović, Head of Transportation in the Sales division.

The acquisition of new vehicles is one of the company’s numerous investments in logistics development: in late 2022, the company purchased 121 next-generation tank railcars worth 12 million euros for railway transportation of petroleum products.
