Company Information

The Company’s core activities are exploration, production and refining of crude oil and natural gas, sale and distribution of a wide range of oil and gas products, as well as completion of petrochemicals and energy projects. The principal offices of NIS and the main production facilities are located in the Republic of Serbia: oil and gas deposits, the Pancevo   Refinery, storage facilities, as well as a network of petrol stations.

Other than its business in Serbia, NIS also operates in the countries of the region.  The oil and gas exploration and production activities are carried out in Romania and Bosnia-Herzegovina, along with company’s retail active in Bulgaria, Bosnia-Herzegovina and Romania. NIS operates a network of over 400 petrol stations in the Balkan market under two brands – NIS Petrol and the premium brand GAZPROM. Furthermore, NIS is active in electricity trade where, in addition to the Serbian market, it is present on the markets of Bosnia-Herzegovina, Montenegro, Romania, Slovenia and Hungary.

The objective of NIS is to be an example to others in terms of business efficiency and pace of sustainable development, as well as to provide new values for its shareholders, employees and the community in which it operates in challenging macroeconomic circumstances.

In addition to business activities, NIS executes numerous socially responsible projects with a view to improve the life of the community in which the company operates. The efforts of NIS in this area are particularly focused on young people who are the champions of future development.
