Philanthropic and volunteer activities are an important segment of the company's corporate social responsibility activities, which are implemented jointly with our employees to strengthen existing partnerships and build new relationships based on trust, friendship and mutual solidarity.
Through numerous philanthropic projects, we wish to encourage in our employees greater empathy, a sense of mutual responsibility and the realisation that each and every single contribution means making a step closer to achieving a common goal.
Our philanthropic activities are oriented towards goals that have wider social implications and, recently, we have been focused in particular on institutions in charge of social protection and health of children.
Thus, by supporting the Children’s Village “Dr Milorad Pavlović “from Sremska Kamenica, we contributed to the improvement of accommodation for children and youth without parental care. Also, to support organisations working on self-independence and social inclusion of children and vulnerable social groups, such as Zvezda Center and Children’s Heart (Dečije srce) and many others, the employees gave their individual donations which the company, honouring their actions, matched and doubled.
We encouraged our employees and consumers alike to give their contribution to the collection of plastic caps and their recycling, all with the aim of raising funds to help children with developmental and other disabilities as part of the “Give a Cap, Get a Smile” campaign. Besides showing their dedication to volunteering and humaneness, both the employees and the consumers also contributed to the achievement of environmental goals, because the removal of plastic from waste and its recycling reduces its harmful impact on the environment.
Corporate volunteering is an integral part of our corporate culture and represents our investment in added value to the company’s corporate social responsibility activities.
Considering the large number of employees working in the company, corporate volunteering is a mechanism that gives us opportunities to connect to colleagues from different cities, an incentive that builds team spirit, but also provides an opportunity to support the local community.
Having recognised the importance of volunteering, as well as the significance of freely giving knowledge and skills, the volunteering activities of employees were systematically introduced into company values. With the establishment of the Volunteer Club in 2018, individual volunteer engagement was replaced by organising targeted volunteer activities that are important for the company and the local communities in which it operates.
