Classroom for instruction in the field of oil and gas production and drilling techniques was officially opened in the Technical School in Zrenjanin with the support of NIS The classroom is equipped with special equipment in the field of oil and gas production and execution of drilling, which will allow the students to quickly and easily apply their knowledge in practice. The opening ceremony was attended by Andrey Shibanov, NIS CEO Deputy, Gabrijela Grujic, Adviser in the Ministry of Education, Science and Technological Development, Cedomir Janjic, the mayor of Zrenjanin, as well as teachers and students of this school. This is just one of many projects that NIS Company began three years ago with the Technical School in Zrenjanin whose goal is to continue to invest in the development of science and education of students in Serbia. After graduation, the students have the opportunity to continue their professional development in NIS training centre and, on the other side, the Company acquires young and educated people, professional staff, necessary for a successful business in the oil industry. The classroom is equipped with special equipment in the field of oil and gas production and execution of drilling Adaptation of the classroom in the Technical School in Zrenjanin is a part of NIS’ social responsibility program titled “The Energy of Knowledge". This program involves partnerships with educational institutions in the country in training of young professionals, which increases the base of professional staff that may accomplish a career in NIS. "Opening of such a modern classroom will enable present and future generations to acquire new skills and better education. The project shows our consistency to equip and specialise high-quality staff to work in the oil industry. This is just one of many projects that the company NIS carries out in cooperation with the Technical School in Zrenjanin, and our goal is to continue to invest in the development of science and quality of education for students in Serbia and I am sure that these projects will continue in the future. Investing in knowledge is an investment that always pays out. That is why we, here in NIS, will continue with the same energy to invest in projects that will contribute to the improvement of education in Serbia”, Andrey Shibanov, NIS CEO Deputy said on this occasion.
