This year’s festival will once again feature the best-known artists of the region: Goran Bregović, Kristijan Azirović’s brass ensemble from Serbia, an ensemble from Sarajevo by the name of Divanhana, and the Bulgarian folk music ensemble Botevgrad. In addition to the music programme, a separate section of the festival will be dedicated to Bulgarian cinema, and will feature Parada (The Pride March), a film by the Serbian director Srđan Dragojević. Balkan Trafik has had much success since its inception in 2007, when the population of Western Europe became interested in the cultural heritage of the Balkan peoples. Doing our region credit, the greatest stars of southeast Europe have performed at the festival.
