All interested, non-profit organizations and institutions from 11 cities and municipalities in which NIS operates - namely: Belgrade, Novi Sad, Cacak, Nis, Pancevo, Zrenjanin, Kikinda, Kanjiza, Srbobran, Zitiste and Novi Becej, may submit their projects related to the areas of culture, science, sports, environmental protection and aid to socially vulnerable groups. This year, NIS allocated for local community projects more than 110 million Serbian dinars, and their selection will be decided by a commission consisting of representatives of NIS, local self-governments, as well as of respectful personalities from local communities. For the eighth consecutive year, NIS has been helping to cities and municipalities through its program called: Together to the Community, and this is the manner in which this company wants to build up its relations with local self-governments across Serbia, in which it conducts its business operation. So far, 760 projects have been supported and thus development of local communities sustained. Results of this contest will be published by August 22, 2016, and all the requirements and guidelines of the public contest may be found on the website: www.zajednicizajedno.nis.eu
