Gazprom Neft and NIS Together With Novak Đoković Foundation Refurbish Physics and Chemistry Classrooms

Within the framework of cooperation with Novak Đoković Foundation, the companies Gazprom Neft and NIS will refurbish physics and chemistry classroom in schools damaged by last year’s May flooding Gazprom Neft and NIS employees participated in the campaign for collecting funds for providing aid to the population of flooded areas and together with the company donated more than RSD 30 million. “Gazprom Neft and NIS implement the programs for improving the quality of life in places where they do business, among other things by implementing projects designed to provide support to the youth and development of educational, cultural and sport institutions. Citizens of smaller towns are entitled to an equal quality of life, just as the citizens of big centres and complex social responsibility is one of the most important principles of business operations of Gazprom Neft and NIS“, Sanja Lubardić, Director of Public Relations and Communications Function in NIS pointed out. First laboratory was open today in town of Obrenovac “Our mission is to provide optimal conditions for education to the youth in Serbia, since knowledge is the intellectual capital necessary for investing in future. To date, our foundation has refurbished seven preschool facilities damaged by flooding. We are very pleased that together with our partners from Gazprom Neft and NIS we will refurbish classrooms in elementary and secondary schools since this is the minimum precondition for children to continue studying”, said Jelena Đoković, Director of Foundation. Donators with students of elementary school "Posavski partizani" from Obrenovac Gazprom Neft as majority shareholder of NIS implements the social investments program “Home Towns” aimed at ensuring to people as wide access to quality urban environment, education, sport and culture as possible. In joint humanitarian programs, the Company was the initiator of the reconstruction of the Russian necropolis in Belgrade and it has a close cooperation in the area of cultural projects in Serbia such as the support to the festival of classical music “Bolshoi”.
