Implementation of the Second Phase of 2012 NIS OPPORTUNITY Initiated

NIS has started the 2nd Phase of the 2012 NIS OPPORTUNITY programme with the goal of employing young, talented candidates with university degrees or vocational high-school diplomas, but without work experience. To that effect, 109 young people have signed employment contracts today at the Novi Sad Business Centre. Eighty-eight university-educated candidates have been given the opportunity to become members of the NIS team. Most of them are graduates in technology, organisational sciences, civil engineering, and economics. In addition to them, 21 vocational education graduates most of whom have graduated from mechanics and electrotechnics high schools have signed nine-month contracts. 2012 NIS OPPORTUNITY participants will work in NIS facilities in Belgrade, Pančevo, Novi Sad, Niš and Čačak. Together with 214 other young men and women who have been employed in Phase 1 of 2012 NIS OPPORTUNITY programme in September this year, they will, , have an opportunity to master new know-how and get their first job experience. All participants in the 2012 NIS OPPORTUNITY programme have been carefully selected through tests, GPA analysis, and job interviews with their potential mentors at the Company. In the selection procedure, NIS has cooperated with municipalities, university departments and the National Employment Agency. As a part of its social responsibility activities, NIS has been running the youth employment programmes since 2010, with a tendency of the growing number of participants year after year.
