Kirill Kravchenko’s Speech about Energy Sector’s Perspectives at the Summit of 100 Business Leaders of South-eastern Europe

Mr Kirill Kravchenko, the NIS CEO, spoke today at the Summit of 100 Business Leaders of South-eastern Europe in Bečići about energy sector's perspectives in the region. Mr Kirill Kravchenko talked about energy sector's potentials of the South-eastern Europe region in his introductory speech at the plenary panel session attended by Mr Ivica Dačić, the Prime Minister of the Government of the Republic of Serbia, Mr Milo Đukanović, the Prime Minister of the Government of Montenegro, Mr Vjekoslav Bevanda, the Chairman of the Council of Ministers of Bosnia and Herzegovina, as well as Mr Stanko Stepišnik, the Minister of Economic Development and Technology and the Deputy Prime Minister of the Government of Slovenia and Mr Hristijan Delev, the Deputy Minister of Economy of FYR Macedonia. The major issue that the NIS CEO discussed concerns advantages of the region of the South-eastern Europe as compared to other regions, as well as the sectors where investors are most likely to invest and under which conditions. "Energy sector in the region is the crucial one and it has the greatest potential of all, despite its insufficient development. To use this potential, a paramount prerequisite is to form a long-term energy strategy in the region which appeals to the investors", Mr Kirill Kravchenko stated and offered the NIS' support in establishing of the regional energy strategy because the company he leads has sufficient knowledge and experience in this area. At the Summit of 100 Business Leaders, Mr Goran Stojilković, the Deputy NIS CEO and a member of the HIP Petrohemija Supervisory Board, also addressed the audience consisting of key figures in the world of commerce and the Governmental authorities from Bosnia and Herzegovina, Croatia, FYR Macedonia, Montenegro and the Republic of Serbia.
