June 16, 2015

Franc Bogovic (third from the left) with representatives of NIS and SAM During a tour of the refinery complex, Bogovic had the opportunity to get acquainted with the operation of the state-of-the-art plant for processing oil and gas, which produces gasoline and diesel in accordance with the requirements of the Euro 5 standards. He also visited the complex of mild hydrocracking and hydrotreating of motor fuels, the investment that made possible to the NIS Company to reach a strategically important position of leadership in the regional market of petroleum products, and ensure energy stability of Serbia. The visit to the Pančevo Refinery was organized on the side-lines of Franz Bogovic’s participation at "the June Meeting of Managers," which was traditionally staged by the Serbian Association of Managers, NIS being its long-time member and partner. This is the first visit of an MEP to NIS. NIS is Serbia’s first company to open a representative office in Brussels in 2011, thus facilitating Serbia's bid for European Union membership. NIS representatives in Brussels follow the regulations of the European Union and contribute to the European energy debate.
