MRI at the Institute for Child and Youth Health Care, Vojvodina

September 18, 2018

General Director Kirill Tyurdenev represented NIS at the festive event, as his company has contributed to the Institute with modern equipment for the treatment of children. In addition to the CEO of NIS, Igor Mirović, Chairman of the Provincial Government, Miodrag Kostić, President of the MK Group and Jadranka Jovanović Privrodski, Director of the Children’s Hospital in Novi Sad, addressed the gathering. Addressing the participants, Kirill Tyurdenev said that it is very important for NIS that the initiative to procure modern equipment for the Institute in Novi Sad has been put into practice. “NIS is not just a company or a brand. NIS is one big family comprising our employees, our business partners and our consumers. At the heart of this whole family, of course, are children. So it was never a question of whether we would be a part any such campaign. The question was how to contribute the best and most. It makes us all so happy to see that the possibility has become a reality”, said the CEO of NIS. Igor Mirović, Chairman of the Provincial Government, expressed gratitude to the companies that participated in the procurement of equipment for the Institute. “The acquisition of the state-of-the-art device for magnetic resonance, supporting equipment and the construction of a special facility for these purposes, has for the first time created conditions for the whole procedure of diagnostics to be performed at the Institute, in one place and in an efficient way” Mirović said. Miodrag Kostić, President of the MK Group and Jadranka Jovanović Privrodski, Director of the Children’s Hospital, estimated that the acquisition of the MRI scanner is a historic event for the Institute, as children and young people in Vojvodina will now have better diagnostics and treatment. The initiative for the procurement of the MRI scanner for the Institute for Health Protection of Children and Youth of Vojvodina came from the Magnet for Love Foundation, one of the founders of the MK Group, and a contribution was also made by NIS and its business partners. The Provincial Government provided a decisive impetus for the acquisition of the MRI scanner and construction of the modern facility where it is located. NIS has long supported the operation of the Institute for Child and Youth Health Care in Vojvodina, even before this campaign. Along these lines, early this March, representatives of the Institute were given a donation for the procurement of eight modern medical devices, and funds were collected in a joint effort by NIS, its staff members and consumers. In this way, NIS supported one of the most important healthcare institutions in Serbia, thereby continuing to improve the conditions for treating the youngest in our country, which is one of the priorities of the social responsibility of NIS.
