“Nikolai Krasnov - Album of Memories” Exhibition opens with NIS support The exhibition also showcases the album of memories to architect Nikolai Krasnov, who made an indelible mark in the realm of architecture, urban development, interior design and applied art throughout the city of Belgrade, and all across numerous cities and towns in Serbia and Russia. The exhibit is open in the Crypt of the Cathedral until 17th March, giving visitors an insight into the artwork of this famous Russian architect, which represents the most distinguished edifices between the two world wars. The exhibition opening ceremony, which showcased the collection of memoirs, was attended by the representatives of the NIS Company, the city of Belgrade, Serbia’s Orthodox Church, Russia’s Embassy in Belgrade, Ministry of Culture and Media, Russian House, Heraldic Club and numerous guests. Sanja Lubardić, NIS Deputy CEO in charge of Public Relations told the gathering: “We are a company supporting projects that promote culture, science and true values, so NIS has recognised the importance of this project and it facilitates it within its “Common Cause - Community” programme. We take special pride in the fact that the exhibition prevents from oblivion the work of the famous Russian architect Nikolai Krasnov, which represents a liaison of two brotherly nations. NIS will continue to facilitate projects that promote and preserve the cultural heritage in our country“ . The NIS Company has been for eight consecutive years delivering the “Common Cause - Community” programme, which has been devised to improve life standard of the local communities, where it operates. This programme has been implemented in association with 11 local municipalities: Belgrade, Novi Sad, Niš, Čаčаk, Pančevo, Zrenjanin, Kikinda, Novi Bеčеј, Žitištе, Kanjižа and Srbobran. The project delivery streamlines the operation of cultural, educational and sports institutions and organisations.
