NIS and Serbian-Russian Humanitarian Centre sign Cooperation Memorandum

In pursuance of this, NIS has signed a Cooperation Memorandum with the Serbian-Russian Humanitarian Centre, specialized in rapid and efficient reaction in emergencies. The Memorandum signed by Andrey Shibanov, NIS Organisational Matters Director, and Anatoly Bashkirev, Deputy Director of Serbian-Russian Humanitarian Centre stipulates company’s collaboration with this Centre in protection and rescue of NIS employees and property during the preparation for acting in an emergency. NIS has made arrangements with the Humanitarian Centre to exchange knowledge in fire protection, as well as to involve contemporary fire extinguishing gear owned by this centre for NIS needs. The cooperation with Serbian-Russian Humanitarian Centre will enable NIS to act faster and more efficient in emergencies, and NIS employees will be professionally trained to upgrade their skills in tackling emergencies. Serbian-Russian Humanitarian Centre has been set up pursuant to an Agreement reached in 2009 between the Government of the Russian Federation and the Government of the Republic of Serbia on cooperation in tackling human disasters and emergencies, preventing calamities and man-made disasters and their mitigation.
