NIS and Technical School of Zrenjanin Signed a Memorandum of Cooperation

The Memorandum of Cooperation and the Agreement on the Staff Vocational Training were signed today in the City Hall between NIS and Technical School of Zrenjanin, by Dmitry Fomenko, Deputy CEO of NIS, and Milinko Babic, Director of the Technical School of Zrenjanin. The Opening Ceremony at the City Hall in Zrenjanin was attended by NIS representatives - Rishat Islamov - Director of the Exploration and Production, John Small - Director of the Oil Field Services, as well as Dusan Sijan, Head of the Central Banat District and Ivan Bosnjak, the Mayor of Zrenjanin. The objective of the signing of the Memorandum was to improve the scientific and educational school activities in line with NIS’s business operations. Likewise, scientific and technical combined teams will be formed as to achieve the scientific and technical business cooperation in the field of staff education for work in the petroleum industry, who will also be responsible for the design and implementation of educational syllabus and training for NIS’s purposes. The Memorandum also defines vocational training for NIS workers with secondary education diploma in the field of exploration, production, refining, and distribution of petroleum, petroleum products and natural gas. Namely, according to the Agreement on the NIS’s Staff Vocational Training in the Technical School of Zrenjanin, the training program will have covered about 350 workers with secondary education diploma, by the end of 2013. Workers will be trained for highly skilled profiles which are required by NIS, as follows: operator in petroleum and gas production, well exploration operator, welder, locksmith, lathe operator, milling-machine operator, derrick-man and floorman. Depending on the curriculum, the training will last from two to six months. - Actively investing in the development of knowledge and skills, building a system of quality and continuous training we will create the possibility for our employees to receive the necessary training and gain qualifications corresponding to European and international standards in the areas of production, refining and sales of petroleum and petroleum products. Having developed their personal and professional capacities the employees will contribute to the achievement of organizational objectives. Therefore, the qualified and quality staff are one of the top priorities of NIS, said Dmitry Fomenko, Deputy CEO of NIS. - Mode of cooperation between NIS and Technical School of Zrenjanin is an example of a good relationship between an educational institution and a company. This kind of cooperation should set an example for relations between all educational and production structures in the Republic, as well as for better and faster adjustment of educational institutions, particularly vocational schools, to the needs of the economy. The great value is that within this training, the staff of the Technical School will be joined by the experts from NIS, who will, with their knowledge and specially experience, contribute to the top quality trained staff, as required by the company, who will work under new technical conditions of production, said Director of Technical School Milinko Babic.
