February 22, 2012

Kiril Kravchenko, NIS CEO, and Vuk Jeremic, president of the Tennis Association of Serbia (TSS) have signed the Cooperation Protocol, making NIS the general sponsor of the tennis association. Representatives of the Tennis Association of Serbia and most successful tennis players from the junior category were present at the event. By doing this, NIS becomes the partner of TSS in promotion of the Olympic spirit, healthy lifestyle, nurture of youth talents, and in fight against violence and use of illegal substances in sport. As a socially responsible company, for the previous three years NIS has been supporting the best Serbian male and female tennis players, who compete in the Davis Cup and the Fed Cup, and in this way promoting sport values, team spirit and top results. The cooperation will be broadened, and it will include bringing tennis closer to the youngest ones, support to junior tennis players, development of tennis schools and camps, as well as cooperation in charity events etc. Kiril Kravchenko, NIS CEO, stated that “It is an honour to be the general sponsor of the Tennis Association of Serbia. We are pleased that, due to this cooperation, the support to Serbian tennis players will be significantly improved. Support to the TSS is a part of the socially responsible business strategy, with a special focus on development of youth talents in Serbia.” Vuk Jeremic, president of TSS, said: “This is an important day for Serbian tennis because this is the biggest arrangement in the history of the Tennis Association of Serbia. This is a natural partnership of NIS, the best Serbian company, and tennis, the most successful national sport. Together with NIS, our new general sponsor, we will do everything to improve tennis in all categories, starting from the youngest ones, up to world champions – the ones that set the global trends in tennis.”
