NIS' officials pointed out that the market was stable and no major fluctuations in petroleum product prices were expected, unless macroeconomic factors changed substantially. This primarily referred to the global price of crude oil and changes in the dollar, taking into account that NIS purchases more than two thirds of crude oil abroad. The meeting concluded that NIS as the key player in Serbia’s petroleum product market guaranteed full security of fuel supply and that thanks to its operational efficiency improvements the company would continue to offer its products to customers at competitive prices which would not exceed the regional average. In addition, the meeting agreed that the teams of the Ministry of Mining and Energy and NIS would work together to actively follow the situation in the petroleum product market in the Republic of Serbia.
