NIS CEO at Kopaonik Business Forum

Panellists at Kopaonik Business Forum Mr. Tyurdenev stressed that around EUR 2.6 billion had been invested in NIS development since 2009, when Gazprom Neft became the majority shareholder, and that the ambitious investment programme would continue in accordance with the recently adopted NIS Development Strategy for the period until 2025. He added that NIS was the most profitable company in Serbia, cooperating with hundreds of local companies. NIS CEO also underlined the emphasis the Company places on the introduction of modern technologies. "New technologies are very important for our Company, as is the production process digitalization.  The Company wants to attract young and talented people", said Tyurdenev. In addition, Mr. Tyurdenev underscored the Company's considerable investments in education, noting that NIS had invested around EUR 20 million in its own research centre. The other panellists included the President of the Serbian Business Club "Privrednik" Zoran Drakulić, Chairman of the Raiffeisen Bank Executive Board Zoran Petrović, Delhaize Serbia COO Quentin Royer, Chairman of the Greek-Serbian Business Council Symeon Tsomokos, Regional Property and Expansion Manager at IKEA South East Europe Vladislav Lalić and an economist in the IMF European Department Christine Richmond. The panellists expressed their support for strengthening of the private sector in Serbia, improvement of the competitiveness of the local economy, continuous advancement of the business environment, further reforms and preservation of the macroeconomic stability.
