June 19, 2018

The award was received by Milena Spasić, Director of the Corporate Social Responsibility Sector. The award was received on behalf of the company by Milena Spasić, Director of the Corporate Social Responsibility Sector. NIS received this valuable award in the Energy category for the third time, after the company was also declared domestic energy Superbrand for both 2012/2013 and 2015/2016. Of great importance to NIS is the fact that the decision for this award was made by the members of the Expert Council and by citizens who took part in a public opinion poll, proving that the company’s continuous efforts to improve the quality of products and services are recognized by both the professional community and consumers alike. In addition, the award in the Energy category not only recognizes the company’s activities, but also its efforts to contribute to the overall social and economic development of local communities throughout Serbia through implementation of socially responsible projects. While NIS was honoured to receive this award, it also recognizes its obligations to continue the overall modernization of the company, as well as the implementation of socially responsible programs in order to further contribute to social prosperity, in accordance with its slogan “Future at Work”. This year, around 2,600 domestic organizations, institutions, companies and brands divided into 35 categories by their respective business activities competed for awards. Superbrands is a licensed program launched in 1994 in the UK, and is the world’s leading brand promotion platform, active across more than 80 countries. The aim of the program is to promote the most successful companies, organizations and institutions. The criteria for obtaining Superbrand status are based on three key attributes: public recognition and reputation, long-term consistency and reliability, and corporate responsibility, or, to put it another way, responsible business.
