Having completed a training course in Zrenjanin Technical School which took several months, a group of NIS Exploration and Production employees were awarded certificates by this educational institution. The vocational training course for 68 NIS oil and gas production operators and well exploration operators was organised under the Memorandum of Cooperation and the Vocational Training Agreement between NIS and Zrenjanin Technical School. The course is aimed at providing training and vocational education in the job-specific skills sought by NIS. The certificates were awarded by Rishat Islamov, Deputy CEO and Exploration and Production Director, and Dmitry Fomenko, Deputy CEO and Services Director. The trainees achieving the best results were also announced on the occasion: Emil Jovičić, an oil and gas production operator from the Srednji Banat Production Plant, and Tibor Talo, a well exploration operator from the Bačka Production Plant. The ceremony in Zrenjanin Technical School was also attended by Ivan Bošnjak, the Mayor of Zrenjanin, Dušan Šijan, the Head of Srednji Banat District, and Milinko Babić, the Director of Zrenjanin Technical School. Under the NIS Employees Vocational Training Agreement, Zrenjanin Technical School has so far run the training programme for 385 employees holding a secondary education degree. They receive training in the vocations of oil and gas production operator, well exploration operator, welder, lathe and millingmachine operators, drilling rig assistant, derrickman-floorman, and workover rig assistant, derrickman-floorman. Depending on the programme, training lasts for two to six months. Apart from the production operators, the training course has so far been completed by welders and lathe-milling machine operators.
