NIS’ Free School of Tennis for Children at the Davis Cup

February 3, 2017

During the Davis Cup match between the national teams of Serbia and Russia, which has been taking place in Niš from 3 to 5 February, NIS and the Tennis Association of Serbia (TAS) are organising free three-day schools of tennis for children All children who visit this tennis event will have an opportunity to take their first steps at tennis with the help of professional trainers and equipment especially suited to their age. Additionally, NIS has provided token gifts for all tennis school participants. Children will also have an opportunity to watch the best Serbian tennis players live in the court, and then to practise basic tennis moves themselves at the NIS' Open School. During a training session of the Serbian national team, a meeting was organised with the children of NURDOR (National Association of Parents of Children Suffering from Cancer), which was an opportunity for them to get together with our tennis aces. The purpose of the free school of tennis is to encourage children to do sports from an early age, develop sportsmanship and adopt a healthy life style. This is how NIS, as a general sponsor of the TAS for many years now, supports and promotes young talents and helps towards the development of professional and children's sport, all in line with its corporate slogan Future at Work.
