As a part of the corporate social responsibility programme "Cooperation for Development" NIS granted funds via public competition for project in the field of sports, culture, environment, science and humanitarian activities for 2012. The competition included municipalities and cities that concluded the cooperation agreements with NIS: Niš, Novi Sad, Zrenjanin, Kikinda, Pančevo, Novi Bečej, Kanjiža, and Žitište. NIS has until now supported priority projects selected by municipalities and cities. This year, the doors have been opened to other ideas and programmes that received funds via independent competition. Half of the 86 million dinars - 43.375.000 was granted to associations, foundations, charity, non-government and other organisation, as well as to individuals and young talents. Funds were granted to 115 projects, and the results are published on NIS corporate website www.nis.rs, as well as on websites of the local communities: Novi Sad, Pančevo, Zrenjanin, Niš, Kikinda, Kanjiža, Žitište, and Novi Bečej.
