September 24, 2012

The program Young specialists began today in NIS by an official reception and a joint workshop, dedicated to young employees of the Company, as a part of the strategic concept of human resource management and ongoing development of staff. The program is being implemented for the first time, based on the experience of Gazprom Neft, and is intended for young people up to the age 33, with a college or high school diploma, who have a short work experience and represent a human resource potential for the company's future. 127 young people have been selected who will in the future (up to two years) undergo various development activities. During this process they will be provided with the assistance and support of their experienced mentors. The goal of the program is to increase the competence and qualifications level, and thus contribute to personal and professional development and achieving of the ambitious long-term goals of NIS. "Investing in people is one of the fundamental principles of our company. We are entering a challenging period in which we want to become a regional leader and therefore the continuous improvement of theoretical and practical knowledge is an imperative. To achieve this goal we need experienced staff, but also the energy and inventiveness of young people. We want to invest in them. Last year 146 million were invested in staff development programs, and this year's budget is significantly higher. We want to have a high profile, professional people and a strong international team of professionals while giving full support to the new generations, " said Kirill Kravchenko in his welcome speech to younger colleagues. In addition to the program Young Specialists, NIS successfully implements programs and student internships for young people, in collaboration with universities in Belgrade and Novi Sad, as well as NIS Chance program, with the support of the Government of Vojvodina, which is intended for young people from the labor market.
