Dedicated to its vision to become a modern, open-minded company making the world a better place, NIS is currently introducing a new concept of support to activities that assist the development of the local community. As a part of the program "Cooperation for Development", the Company announced the public competition for funding 2012 projects in the field of sport, culture, ecology, science and humanitarian activities. The interested parties may send their proposals by June 1, 2012 until twelve o’clock exclusively to the following e-mail address saradnjaradirazvoja@nis.eu. The special Committee composed of NIS representatives and local community representatives will make the decisions about the projects. The decision on the project will be made within 10 working days as of the date of establishing the List of selected projects. The decision will be also published on the NIS a.d. Novi Sad web site. The competition is intended for associations, foundations, humanitarian, non-governmental and other organizations, as well as individuals-young talents from municipalities and cities with which NIS has signed the cooperation agreements. These are: Nis, Novi Sad, Zrenjanin, Kikinda, Pancevo, Novi Becej, Kanjiza and Zitiste. So far, the Company has supported the projects chosen by municipalities and cities as projects of high priority and importance. However, as of this year the doors are open for new ideas and programs. Half of the funds reserved as part of individual agreements will be allocated via public competition. In this manner, the Company wants to motivate and support creativity and responsibility of organizations and individuals and mutually contribute to creating better a future and more humane society. Through the principles of social responsibility, NIS motto “Energy of Life” will become not only inspiration but reality. The competition is not intended for funding activities of political parties, religious groups and any specific requests related to studies, participation at conferences, accommodation and catering costs will not be taken into account.
