NIS Rewarded for Corporate Social Responsibility On behalf of the company, the reward was received by Sanja Lubardić, Deputy CEO and Director of Public Relations and Communication, and Milena Spasić, Director of the Corporate Social Responsibility Sector. The companies in the first national corporate social responsibility list were announced within the CSR Forum – a conference devoted to corporate social responsibility and organised every year by the Corporate Responsibility Forum and Smart Kolektiv. On behalf of the company, the reward was received by Sanja Lubardić, Deputy CEO and Director of Public Relations and Communication, and Milena Spasić, Director of the Corporate Social Responsibility Sector “Operating in line with sustainable development principles is one of the strategic priorities of NIS and this reward will provide our company with a new impetus towards continuing to invest in the welfare of the community where it does business. In keeping with the corporate slogan Future at Work, NIS is going to continue supporting educational and scientific institutions, developing young talents, professional and children's sports, developing local institutions and organisations, and carrying out humanitarian projects,” Sanja Lubardić stated on this occasion. The companies in the first national corporate social responsibility list were announced within the CSR Forum CSR Index Serbia is the first national platform for assessing corporate social responsibility in Serbia and has been launched by the Corporate Responsibility Forum and Smart Kolektiv with the support of USAID. Apart from NIS, the list includes 19 other companies doing business in Serbia. CSR Index is a tool to recognise, reward and promote good business practices. This has been the first time to identify companies doing business in line with sustainable development principles via a range of corporate responsibility indicators. CSR Index is based on a methodology tailored to the state and level of development of national economy and is the only one to ensure objective comparison of companies in terms of social responsibility. The index includes over 100 indicators grouped into 5 categories: corporate management, local community, work environment, market and the environment.
