In the Pančevo Culture Centre, the Festival was opened by Kurt Elling, a star of U.S. scene and world’s leading jazz vocalese perfomer in the recent two decades. This musician from Chicago won the most prestigious awards in jazz and was proclaimed by both critics and the audience the best singer in the year. World’s best jazz musicians are to perform at the festival, including "The Bad Plus" trio, world’s second ranking "Daunbita" jazz band and a UK band "Get The Blessing". Saturday will see the concert of sax player Max Kochetov quartet as well as the students of jazz department of the “Stankovic” School of Music, and the festival will be closed by the pioneers of jazz fusion, “Oregon”, a group from the U.S. NIS lends its support to this festival under the slogan “Working for the Future” in its quest to facilitate development and promote cultural values and the overall development of the town of Pančevo.
