Pancevo Oil Refinery is this year's winner of "Kapetan Miša Atanasijević" reward which is annually awarded to most successful individuals, entrepreneurs, and institutions in the South Bačka region. Pancevo Oil Refinery won recognition in the "2012 Most Successful Investment" category. The objective of this reward is affirmation and promotion of individual and management values, and it was presented to the Company representatives by Ratko Filipović, President of the Chamber of Commerce of Vojvodina, and Dragan Bosilj, President of the Regional Chamber of Commerce of Pancevo. "The concept of the Company's Top Management was to enable complete transfer to Euro-quality fuel, through the Project of Pancevo Oil Refinery Modernization. The moment we receive recognition of our community for this brave undertaking, we may say that we have succeeded in our intention to have our efforts acknowledged by expert community. We would like to see more of investments of this kind, and, naturally, recognitions from experts who closely monitor our work", said Radosav Despotović - the HSE Department Director of the Refining Block, when receiving the reward. Decision on this year's laureates was made by jury consisting of Prof. Ilija Ćosić, Ph.D., Prof. Neđo Balaban, Ph.D., Prof. Miodrag Koprivica, Ph.D., reporters Nada Vujović, Tomislav Mićović, and Vlado Markanović, as well as the poet and editor Pero Zubac. Further information: Kapetan Miša Atanasijević reward has been awarded for 12 years, and it constitutes one part of "Way to Top" Project, titled after the reward, which, by publishing a monograph, asserts economic creation in Serbia. This prestigious award ceremony is organized by the Faculty of Technical Sciences of Novi Sad, Regional Chamber of Commerce of Novi Sad, and Media Invent company.
