As part of its programme “Cooperation for Development”, supporting the promotion of sports and a healthy lifestyle, NIS has provided assistance in renovating the football, volleyball, basketball, and handball pitches.

The company has supported projects from various areas in local communities for years, and in the renovated sports grounds of the “Milica Pavlović” elementary school over 1200 students from Čačak will have an opportunity to participate in sports activities every day. The “Cooperation for Development” programme was designed with the aim of strengthening partnerships with local communities where the company conducts business. This year the programme is implemented in 11 municipalities, through projects selected in the open competition “Together for the Community”. The programme has been implemented for six years in a row, and the projects selected in the open competition have contributed to the development of local communities, and facilitated and improved the work of numerous cultural, sports, and educational institutions.
