“Sports against violence” in Novi Banovci

Since early October, more than 6000 pupils from 12 Serbian towns took part in the campaign, which is to last until the end of school year. MINI TENIS, a programme devised by International Tennis Federation ITF is intended for school children featuring tennis training. Other than that, it promotes athletic values, culture of non-violence, fair play in sports as an exceptionally important for children’ healthy development. Once the tennis training was over, the students were given presents provided by NIS as a long term ITF general sponsor within the “Power of Sports” and socially responsible business. In its capacity as Tennis Association partner, NIS thus got actively involved in healthy life style promotion and in attracting young talents. “Sports Against Violence” campaign is to be staged in more than 300 Serbia’s elementary school in the academic 2014/15 year. This summer saw the campaign take place in Belgrade, and the town of Novi Bečej, and as of the new school year start it continued in the towns of Novi Pazar, Prijepolje, Vrnjačka Banja and Kraljevo, Jagodina, Kragujevac, Užice, Bujanovac, Vladičin Han and Surdulica, Novi Banovci, Zaječar is next (17/12/2014) just before the year’s end, “Sports Against Violence” campaign continues its existence in 2015, and as early as January 15, it will be staged at a new place and then on throughout Serbia all year round.
