Today, NIS was awarded the Certificate of Commendation by the Tax Administration to acknowledge the largest overall contributions to the public purse made by this company over the course of 2012 in direct and indirect taxes. Ivan Simič, the Tax Agency Director, presented this certificate of merit commending such an achievment to NIS CEO Kirill Kravchenko. With fiscal charges to the tune of almost 92 billion dinars at the end of 2012, NIS emerged as the biggest tax payer, its share in the state coffers amounting to 11 per cent. Other than that, NIS share in Serbia’s overall output exceeds eight per cent, equalling this company’s contribution to the country’s gross domestic product to this of a strategic agricultural branch. “Notwithstanding this year’s unrelenting crisis, NIS made a leap in 2013 with significantly augmented deductions into the budget, by aproximately one fourth on the previous year, specifically 115 billion dinars this year. Our contribution the the overall treasury revenues in the recent five years, exceeded 13 per cent from the initial seven. This is a demonstration of strength and dedication to the development of NIS by both shareholders, Gazprom Neft and Serbia’s Government”, pointed out NIS CEO Kirill Kravchenko. “This personal award of the Certificate of Commendation to NIS is the least the Tax Administration can do in reward to such a remarkable tax generator.
