The playground which had been derelict and unsafe for children for years has regained its shine and re-opened the door for the residents of Busija. The project objective is to improve the living conditions in Busije, a village of over 1000 families, but without a nursery school, or any other children's playground, and this is the reason why the refurbishment of this park has a great significance for the villagers. “The playground was built many years ago at the initiative of one resident of Busija. The park was built owing to his good will and wish to provide a play area for children, however it had not been taken care of for years, so we, with NIS' support, have managed to "bring it back to life" and provide new generations with a safe place for play", said Ljiljana Marjanović, a representative of the Environmental Association of Zemun. "Our Park" is one of the projects within NIS' "Cooperation for Development" program, providing support for projects in the field of sport, culture, ecology, science and humanitarian activities, in the cities, towns and municipalities in which NIS operates.
