NIS, as one of the employers actively attracting young specialists, is launching a new student practial training programme. The programme will be held in cooperation with nine leading faculties in Serbia and will last two weeks. It is adapted to the needs of the educational institutions and will give senior students the opportunity to complete 90 hours of compulsory practical training.
The first season of the new programme, called “NIS Academy”, will host 62 senior students from the Faculty of Mechanical Engineering, the Faculty of Mining and Geology, the Faculty of Technology and Metallurgy, the Faculty of Economics and the Faculty of Organisational Sciences in Belgrade, the Mihail Pupin Faculty of Technology in Zrenjanin, the Faculty of Economics in Subotica, and the Faculty of Technology and the Faculty of Engineering Sciences in Novi Sad.
The training will allow students to prepare for the employment market, allow them to get acquainted with the company’s activities, and acquire new skills and knowledge. The training includes career guidance and workshops on CV writing and preparation for job interviews. The students will also have the opportunity to visit the Company’s production facilities, attend lectures by NIS specialists and communication skills development courses, as well as participate in a group project.
After completing the practical training within the NIS Academy, all students will have the opportunity to apply for the NIS Calling internship programme, which will start in April. The best participants will be able to continue working in the company. NIS actively supports young professionals at the first stage of their career path, as it values their energy and fresh ideas.
