This is the company’s priority at this time. Furthermore, the company is making determined efforts to maintain production at its key facilities and to ensure the stable supply of petroleum products to the domestic market. NIS also managed to speed up the implementation of innovative solutions and projects and is now offering clients a series of new services to efficiently meet their needs while taking all the safety precautions required by the pandemics.

NIS is maintaining normal production and processing of oil, production of petroleum products, and fuel sales in the NIS Petrol and Gazprom networks. The company can guarantee stable fuel supply to meet the needs of the industry and the public services. In compliance with the Decisions of regulatory bodies, the company has changed the working hours of its petrol stations. Moreover, several strategic petrol stations are working 24/7 to supply fuel to state authorities, healthcare organizations, and other public services, as well as legal and physical persons with special permits. NIS is committed to complying with all the recommendations of the authorities as for the measures to overcome the epidemics. The company will follow further developments related to the coronavirus epidemics in Serbia and in other countries where the company operates.

Kirill Tyurdenev, the NIS CEO, commented:

“We are now in a situation that has no precedent in modern history. Our lives are now drastically different from the way we lived and worked several weeks ago. In a situation like this, our priority is to take care of ourselves and our families, and the health and safety of our employees and clients. It is important to remember, however, that NIS is the foundation supporting the energy system of Serbia. It is our duty to the people and the government of Serbia to keep up the fuel supplies so that we overcome all challenges together and come back to normal as soon as possible. This is why we do our best to ensure reliable production and processing of oil and distribution of petroleum products, and I want to thank all our employees, whose commitment and efforts have made it possible. Throughout history, NIS has faced multiple challenges and managed to overcome them all. This experience tells us that we should now focus on the future when we will come back to our normal lives and work to catch up on what we missed. I’m sure we have enough strength and commitment to fulfill our goals. Our priority will always be safety, innovation, and efficient work to maintain the company’s financial performance at a level that would let the company develop further for the well-being of its employees, shareholders, and the society.”
