The representatives of the Scientific and Technology Centre of NIS and the Joint-Stock Company for Oil Transportation by Oil Pipelines and Oil Transportation by Product Pipelines, “Transnafta” signed the Memorandum on Business and Technical Cooperation.
On behalf of Scientific and Technology Centre, the Agreement was signed by Leonid Stulov, Director of the Science and Technology Centre, and on behalf of “Transnafta”, by Dr. Bogdan Kuzmanović, its Acting Director.
During the signing of the Memorandum, it was jointly assessed that the STC of NIS can provide a wide range of services necessary for the development of “Transnafta” in the construction of oil pipelines, in which the Infrastructure Design Department of STC has decades of experience.
Scientific and Technology Centre is the subsidiary of NIS, with around 400 employees, whose main task is the scientific and technological monitoring of the Company’s activities and the provision of innovations in support of the Company operations.
In addition to the expertise of employees, equipment, professionalism and innovation are important steps that enable the achievement of STC’s goal, which is the resource of knowledge and data as the main input for further business development. These values have provided the Company with cooperation and partnering with numerous domestic and international educational institutions, as well as with prestigious international companies such as “Schlumberger”, “Halliburton”, “Paradigm”.
Two laboratories also operate within the Science and Technology Centre: The Upstream laboratory, which deals with core, fluid and rock analyses, which forms the basis for reliable assessment of oil and gas reserves, and the Downstream laboratory, which provides quality testing services throughout the entire process of oil production and refinery processing.
