Scientific and Technological Centre

The Scientific and Technological Centre (STC) was established in 2009 with the aim to provide scientific and technical support to the core business of the company, ensuring development and innovation in its business operations.

The main activities of NIS are exploration, production and refining of oil and natural gas, sales and distribution of a broad range of petroleum and gas products, as well as the implementation of energy and petrochemistry projects.

Our main production facilities are in Serbia, but NIS also develops its business in neighboring countries. In Serbia, NIS owns a modernized oil refinery in Pančevo, which produces a wide range of European-quality petroleum products – from motor gasoline and diesel fuel, aviation fuel, to raw materials for the petrochemical industry.

The structure of NIS’ sales and distribution includes export and domestic wholesale deliveries of crude oil, gas and petroleum products, as well as retail of finished petroleum products, liquid petroleum gas and a range of related products. In Serbia, Bosnia and Herzegovina, Bulgaria and Romania, NIS operates a network of over 400 gas stations, and markets two brands – NIS Petrol and Gazprom premium brand.
