Being aware of the responsibility we have as one of the greatest employers in Serbia, we devote great attention to our employees, who are our most important resource. Our goal is to make them the leaders in their respective fields and enable them to meet all modern business requirements. In 2019 only, in collaboration with external providers, we organised 2,180 training courses, attended by more than 4,000 of our employees. We allocated RSD 257 million to these purposes.
According to the Voice of Youth survey conducted by a global student organisation in 2019, our company is one of the most attractive employers for young people in Serbia. This also generates motivation to keep making positive changes in human resource management and additionally improve the workplace environment. We are working on the development of corporate culture to promote the values, such as transparency, expertise, creativity, and responsibility in employees.
We are also devoted to motivating experts born in Serbia to come back from abroad. Therefore, we are implementing the Return to Serbia programme, aimed at attracting highly-qualified professionals, who are ready to demonstrate their knowledge and skills in our company. So far, more than 20 experts who returned from abroad and continued their careers in Serbia have become NIS’ employees owing to this programme.
